Despite we are ageing drastically and the fact that age cannot be retrieved were truly inevitable, life is not that cruel. Hardships are a super glue of life. Without hardship, humans won’t grow. As the time makes us grow to adult, hardships force us to grow spiritually by time. Even though the term “force” are used to define that amidst cannot be avoided, humans still require it as their essentials to grow. Time remains ongoing so that we will appreciate it. Do you really think that appreciating time is just about doing good things or doing nothing? No, actually appreciating time is more than that.

Appreciating time means that you make use of the time to grow continuously. Why we use the time? People say this word very frequent: “time is like a sword, if you refuse to cut it, it will counter you”. Time constrain persons who does not appreciate them. For example, students who can manage their time accordingly frequently succeed in their life whereas students who are unable to manipulate time, they will surely fail in their life. It is not that easy to control time as it is stated by words. This is where we need to face hardship, to make us humans a being.

The relation between time and hardship are totally the pure truth and I won’t be able to exaggerate it. A wet cloth need to be squeezed or dried under hot sun to draw out the water. Baby birds that have never fly before need to jump out of the nest just to learn how to fly. Plants always grow shoots and roots for the purpose of surviving. People always say that time is gold because it is very precious but in my opinion the time were priceless if it is not well managed. Hardships are none other than the materials needed for us to construct our heart and soul. It is important for us to make use of time by constructing things that can ensure the development of your heart and soul.

Bear in mind that it is not hardship that shape you to be a good and well being person. It is the one that create it. Hardship is only a compartment of essential tools necessary for the development to occur. As we all know, tools have their settings or what we call the operating mechanism. For instance, a washing machine is programmed to start operating when we press certain buttons. If we do not press the buttons the washing machine would be generated and thus the cloth cannot be washed. Back to the part where I say just now that hardship is a tool for us to make benefit on it. The creator of hardship must be the one that create us because He knows that we need it in order for us to walk the right path toward success and far away from the danger of being one of the khaasirun.

That is why islam is named as it is. “islam” means in a safe condition or free from danger or hazard. In islam it teaches us that hardships are to be faced by means of faith which is the iman. Islam cares about time. Islam teach us tauhid to believe in Allah the creator of everything.
