Talk at masjid wilayah
The jews, they know about kaabah. Since ibrahim had build it for a purpose. As it is revealed in the taurat at the time of Musa AS. In the Quran also mentioned how arabic people at the time of Musa AS already know about Kaabah (when Musa AS work for 8 or 10 years for the father of a girl he married). Initially, when muslim come to madinah, the jews think that muslims and them are on common ground since both are following the same direction for prayer. In ayat 142, the jews argue on how the kiblat direction had change. how interestingly, the ayat mentioned about "the foolish among the people", this happened when, ustadh say the scholar keep their mouth shut listening the argument between Rasulullah SAW and the jews.
Allah specifically mentioned about the scholar in ayat 144:
"...Indeed, those who have been given the Scripture well know that it is the truth from their Lord. And Allah is not unaware of what they do".
Also in ayat 146 the scholar was mentioned again:
"Those to whom We gave the Scripture know him as they know their own sons. But indeed, a party of them conceal the truth while they know".
they have this feeling of being superior. "I have knowledge! I can do all sort of thing" kind of feeling. The scholar feel they were more superior and have greater qualification than the Rasulullah which is "ummiyi". they were overwhelmed by jealousy. However, the ironical truth that they were the cause of corruption among people. If the scholar support Rasullulah, maybe the jews might not argue on the fact, but they keep their mouth shut despite knowing the truth.
point number 1: don't become obsessed with superiority of knowledge (arrogance)
In ayat 145, Allah mentioned on how the jews follow thing without basis "al ahwa".
"And if you brought to those who were given the Scripture every sign, they would not follow your qiblah. Nor will you be a follower of their qiblah. Nor would they be followers of one another's qiblah. So if you were to follow their desire after what has come to you of knowledge, indeed, you would then be among the wrongdoers".
In this ayat also stress on not becoming like the jews, who did not want to follow the kiblat and not even follow other jews qiblat. they just want to do what they wanted. Then, people like this are those are among the wrongdoers or zalim.
point number 2: don't follow "al ahwa", do things with a right basis
Then, in ayat 147 after mentioning about the bad habit of corrupted scholar, Allah mentioned about not to be confused about them. They (the scholar) do things without basis and the ultimate truth is hidden within the curtain of Allah's help. so, we as a person need not to be sidetracked by the action of scholar who opposed Rasulullah SAW. in this ayat the warning is very serious like "don't you dare being confused".
ayat 147: "The truth is from your Lord, so never be among the doubters".
Even the jews that argue with Rasulullah maybe disagreed but that does not mean that they hate, maybe they just don't know and wanted to know the truth. This ayat obliged us to know that our validation come from Allah and not from other.
point number 3: don't be sidetracked by others that can drag you with them
Then, ayat 148 illustrate on how people have their own direction which they going to face it. For example: people who want to be rich will go to the direction of collecting money by facing various hardships, people who want to be intelligent will study all night and read many books and people who wanted to be great leader will climb into any opportunities to manipulate others. This ayat explain on how people will go different way to reach an ultimate goal and will submit to the ultimate goal of their life. To achieve the ultimate goal, people will definitely create a path for it and walk on that path. The path can mean everything to them, and people would turn the path out of obsession.
ayat 148: "For each [religious following] is a direction toward which it faces. So race to [all that is] good. Wherever you may be, Allah will bring you forth [for judgement] all together. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent".
That is not even the worst part yet, the worst part is they even drag other people to the same path out of people's admiration. youth these day have this notion: free to do things in life: "I have a keen and young spirit, I don't affect other people!" However, we can cause people to be inspired to turn the same path. May we not take the path of the wrongdoers or zalimin.
point number 4 : know the ultimate goal of life, inspire people to go the right path!
Why do we face kaabah during pray? why facing the kaabah make us want to do good things?
"likulli wijha...fastabiqul khairat"
this phrase teach us to race on the capabilities and opportunity given by Allah to do all good things, before facing Him in the judgement day. This is because facing the kaabah reminds you and me towards the day of judgement where we will be facing Allah SWT. This curtain of deen we were facing tested our iman and our goal. our ultimate purpose of life. ustadh mentioned "al haq" translated to purpose/goal.
The completion of kaabah's purification and Rasullulah's SAW role as a messenger had put us to a role to be among the person that directly connected to the legacy of Rasulullah SAW.
"wa yu'alimukum ma lam takunu ta'lamun" [from ayat 151]
ayat 151: "Just as We have sent among you a messenger from yourselves reciting to you Our verses and purifying you and teaching you the Book and wisdom and teaching you that which you did not know".
interestingly, ibrahim build the kaabah to make people worship Allah and teach people about knowlege about deen and concern towards others. This is how we see that Allah had granted Nabi Ibrahim's doa by granting us the ummah with Al quran and Rasulullah to teach us about it. we have to be concerned for humanity and embody the full scope of Ibrahim's AS du'a. We don't own islam, Islam own us. we are the religion that concern everybody, the most international ummah.
Last point made clear, at the month of Ramadhan where the quran was given to us. We should remember this month how quran is for everybody. We should share knowledge of quran to others and make them understand the miracle of this book.
last point: share good things! make humanity!
May this share will give good meaning to you and me. Assalamualaikum..

Thank you.
